Who are we looking for?

  • You must be 16 years old or above at start date (September 2024)
  • You hold or expect to achieve 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at Grades 3-9 (Grade D-A*) including Mathematics, English Language and a STEM related subject (Prior to start date in September).

Apprentice roles for 2024

In 2024 we will be bringing on board 22 Apprentices who will work in Overhead lines, Plant Maintenance and Metering.

Overhead Lines

I’ve got a head for heights

The construction, maintenance and refurbishment of the distribution and transmission overhead line network, including tree cutting. This role requires you to be comfortable to Work at Heights.

Metering Electricians

Focused on the task but loves being out and about

Responsible for the connection of meters at new builds, resolving meter-related issues at domestic and commercial properties and installing changes to current meters, your work will be varied and ensure the “lights stay on” for residents and businesses alike.

Outdoor person who enjoys technical equipment

Responsible for the installation and maintenance of high voltage substations, transformers, switch gear and protection systems that facilitate the delivery of power between our transmission and distribution networks and the customer.
