Approximately 25,000 customers remain without electricity across Northern Ireland with power now restored to 260,000 properties following the extensive damage to the electricity network caused by Storm Éowyn.

Our primary focus is to restore power to all affected customers across Northern Ireland. We now have over 1400 staff escalated, additional electrical and industrial employees from other agencies and jurisdictions along with further resource arriving today.

Over the coming days there may be occasions when householders experience interruption to their electricity supply as we undertake permanent repairs and work to restore all those impacted.  Employees from our contact centre may also be in contact to check that supply has been restored.

We are particularly keen to again remind the public to maintain safety around any damaged electricity equipment and never approach a broken pole or overhead power lines, and keep children and animals away.

Householders can report faults online and check for status updates at www.nienetworks.co.uk, or by calling the NIE Networks Customer Helpline on 03457 643 643.
