Generation Notice

Many applicants are exploring the options around incorporating some form of renewable generation into their new building. Renewable generation has the ability to not only reduce your on-site consumption and electricity bills, but as a renewable energy source can contribute towards the wider goals of decarbonising our society and creating a more sustainable future. Please see the following sections of the application form for more information.

Please note that only some information is required at this early stage to make your application process more straightforward. Additional verification will be required at a later date before the electricity supply is energised to your property.

As noted earlier, once you have decided upon which type of renewable generation you wish to install, NIE Networks need to get some more details of the exact proposal including details around the size of generation, the type of equipment proposed, along with details of the installer. . These details are important to show that the proposal complies with the necessary technical requirements but your installer or electrical contractor should be able to help provide these details. Please note that these details must be provided prior to energisation of your new supply
