Award season lands in March for NIE Networks

NIE Networks is looking forward to the month ahead as several teams and individuals have been nominated for awards.

Tonight (6th March) marks the start of the potential celebrations as the Human Resources Team are up for HR Team of the Year Award at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Awards.  The HR Teams strategy places personal growth and employee wellbeing at the heart of the approach by prioritising leadership development, employee engagement and diversity and inclusion.  The success is evident as, over the last year, the company were awarded the Investors in People Platinum accreditation, achieved an employee engagement score of 88% and secured the very first Investors in People Platinum accreditation for their Apprentice Academy.

Next week the focus turns to the company’s talent pipelines with the Institute of Engineering and Technology Awards in London where seven of the company’s apprentices are nominated for Apprentice of the Year.  

A further two employees are nominated for awards at the Women in Business Awards on Thursday; Lisa O’Neill, Renewables Development Manager is nominated for Outstanding Mentor and Cassie McArthur, Higher Level Apprentice in Quantity Surveying, is nominated for Outstanding Apprentice.

Apprentices are also the focus at the end of the month when Andy Wing, Apprentice Mentor, is nominated in Mentor category of the Department for Economy Apprenticeship Awards.
