Through our next business plan period, RP7, we will improve Network Resilience and reduce the length of power cuts. Improved access to the electricity networks will allow greater electrification as Northern Ireland decarbonises.

Case Study: Safer Together Cultural Journey

The Safer Together Cultural Journey continues to focus NIE Networks’ commitment to its safety values, through promoting an open and proactive culture with the full involvement of all. ‘Safer Together’ is an enabling journey aligned to NIE Networks’ values, aiming to reduce the risk of harm and improve the wellbeing of all staff and contractors.

The Safer Together cultural journey is assessed by looking at:

  • Significant cultural improvements
  • Employees feeling recognised and connected to each other, the company, and the environment
  • Employees being empowered to lead on their areas of responsibility
  • Staff Retention remaining at over 97
