Independent Non-Executive Director
JANET MCCOLLUM CBE has been appointed as a non-executive director of Northern Ireland Electricity Networks Limited (NIE Networks), the electricity network company.
Janet is a former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Moy Park, a significant employer and leading business within the agri-food sector in Northern Ireland. Janet spent 25 years working in Moy Park, including as Finance Director as well as CEO, taking on a portfolio of non-executive roles from 2018.
Janet joins the three existing NIE Networks non-executive directors: Sir David Sterling KCB (Chair), Keith Jess and Alan Bryce, and executive directors: Derek Hynes, Managing Director, and Gordon Parkes, Executive Director, People & Culture.

Janet’s other current non-executive roles include W&R Barnett Limited and Tirlán Limited (formerly known as Glanbia Ireland) and she serves as a trustee of The Royal Countryside Fund.
She was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Economics from Queen’s University, Belfast in 2016 for services to business and commerce and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
Janet was awarded a CBE in the 2018 Queen’s Birthday Honours for her services to economic development in Northern Ireland.
